The African musicians explained the children the origin of the african music and the introduced the instruments. Also they taught us to sing in one of the african languages.

An African Music group called "ADUNA" came to school to share with the children one of the most amazing, wonderful moments of the project. Children and teachers enjoied the exprecience: singing , dancing, interacting with the musicians. It was an unforgetable moment. We are so please that ADUNA and african group involve us into the Music of Africa. THANKS ADUNA FOR SHARING YOUR MUSIC WITH THE KIDS OF POETA VILLANGOMEZ SCHOOL.

This term the students have discovered one of the most wonderful continents of the world: "AFRICA"
The have learn about the geography, fun facts, animals, landscapes, jewelry, tribes, history of Africa etc.
The children have recreated one of Pablo Picasso's pictures:
"The three musicians" made of geometrical shapes. After that They have painted their own self portraits as Pablo Picasso one.
The 5th Primary class is working in a project about aboriginal Australia Art. Have a look at the powerpoint and his Artworks.
The children are making a big rocket and also they are painting the milkyway. The have created new planets.
The 3rd primary class is working Chuck Close technique. The children are painting their own portraits drawing in every single square differents simbols on their photographs.

The 3r grade class is working through the Art work of Keith Haring.The children have watched a powerpoint about the biography of the Artist and after that They will work the artistic style of Pop Art inspired by keith Haring.

In our next artistic activity We invited a Morrocan mum who drew a version of an Indian Rangoli. The experience was wonderful all the children were participants in the creation of the rangoli. Our next project is about to approach the Art class kids the Indian Art through a festivity called Diwali. The children after the powerpoint will design different kolams or Rangolis. A fantastic way of introducting them the culture and Art. Have a look to our next artistic art works.
